Overview of the Millwright Role:

Compensation for Millwright:
  • $21-$25/hour
  • Paid WEEKLY
Key Responsibilities of the Millwright:
  • Align machinery and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
  • Perform repairs and lubrication on machines and equipment.
  • Assemble and install equipment using hand tools and power tools, securing machines to foundations or other structures.
  • Install machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings, utilizing hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Position steel beams to support bedplates of machines and equipment, referencing blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Dismantle machines and other equipment as necessary.
  • Construct foundations for machines using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, and steel.
  • Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
  • Adhere to all company safety and QA/QC programs and OSHA regulations.
  • Availability for overtime and consistent, punctual attendance is required.
Qualifications for Millwright:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a millwright is required.
  • Possession of all necessary hand tools is essential.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, layout plans, or other drawings is required.
  • Proficiency with precision instruments for setting and aligning equipment is required.
  • A certificate of welding ability is preferred.
Physical Demands of the Millwright Role:
  • Must be capable of lifting over 50 pounds frequently and climbing heights exceeding 300 feet.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, carrying, pushing, and pulling of weights up to 100 pounds is required.
  • Must be able to tolerate temperature variations, a loud and dusty work environment, and exposure to high voltage electromagnetic fields.
This position is classified as safety sensitive. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to proactively initiate, effectively lead, and consistently uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards. Compliance with this requirement is a fundamental condition for employment.
