Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Activity Director to join our team at Oak Park Nursing and Rehab. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating activities that promote entertainment, physical activity, and relaxation for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement activity programs that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of care and services
  • Recruit and train volunteers to assist with activity programs
  • Manage activity budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of funds
  • Conduct regular assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of activity programs and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting
  • Associate degree in a related field (e.g. recreation therapy, gerontology)
  • Prior experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Background in working with seniors is a plus
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team
