Job Summary
The U.S. Courts is seeking a skilled Programmer/Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will be responsible for designing, modifying, and adapting existing software to meet the needs of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Write code to specifications and document work
• Develop custom reports and prepare flow charts
• Perform routine testing and analyze user needs
• Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment function
• Design, modify, adapt, and enhance existing software to correct errors or improve performance
• Create and maintain data dictionaries and develop software system testing and validation procedures
• Provide end-user support and serve as a liaison between peers and users
• Develop, implement, and manage large and small-scale projects from inception to delivery
Requirements
• Two years of specialized experience or completion of a master's degree in information technology
• Knowledge of programming languages, databases, and application design
• Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices
• Experience with shell scripts, IDEs, relational databases, and web development environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
