Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineering Manager in Operational Technology (OT) to lead and inspire our team of software engineers.

This role is instrumental in ensuring the safety, reliability, security, and performance of our OT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership and Employee Development: Provide strong leadership to a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Set clear goals and expectations and inspire the team to achieve high levels of performance.
  • Project Management: Oversee the estimating, planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
  • Technical Expertise: Maintain an understanding of software development principles, technologies, and best practices. Assist the team in solving technical challenges and provide guidance on architectural decisions.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve our development processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. Implement and champion best practices, including Agile, CI/CD, coding standards, and quality assurance.
  • Communication and Customer Interaction: Effectively communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
  • College degree in a Technical or Management/Leadership Discipline, to include Computer Science (CS), Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology (IT), Management Information Systems (MIS), and Master of Business Administration (MBA).
  • Demonstrated experience building and leading software engineering teams.
  • Strong background in agile methodologies and the ability to mentor others in their use.
  • Understanding of modern development and deployment infrastructure, including CI/CD, testing, and enterprise deployment.
