Quality Carriers is seeking a skilled Transportation Operations Manager to oversee the daily activities of a group of drivers, ensuring maximum utility of their hours and maximizing earnings while maintaining a high standard of living.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Work closely with assigned drivers to optimize their hours and earnings.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure all tractors are in good working condition and compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain a driver calendar to plan time off and compliance-related time.
  • Update driver hours of service in the Peoplenet system and make authorized updates as needed.
  • Verify accurate and timely completion of driver pay.
  • Document load-related information in the order notes screen in TMW.
  • Counsel drivers on safety, compliance, and service issues.
  • Ensure completion of monthly Infinit-i training and assign additional training as needed.
  • Work with dispatch to ensure priorities are met.
  • Develop disciplinary actions with the Terminal Manager, QC Safety Manager, or HR.

**Requirements:**

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; 2-year business degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of bulk transportation industry experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership or management position.
  • Experience managing and directing work of others.
  • Knowledge of DOT requirements.
  • Experience with CSA expectations and safety procedures.
  • Solid computer skills and working knowledge of Word and Excel.
