About the Role

Providence Service is seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Nurse to join our team at Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center. As a Medical Surgical Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, assessing, and evaluating patients' physical and emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring patient-centered care and promoting optimal health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, communicate effectively, and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 1 year of Nursing experience.
