Overview

The primary role of this position is to oversee proposals, contracts, and budgetary activities, while managing the planning and execution of biometrics projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight: Lead the planning and execution of projects.
    • Collaborate with Statistics, Programming, and Data Management teams to ensure timely communication of contracted scopes and plans.
    • Oversee the Project Management team to ensure effective and prompt responses to both customer and internal team inquiries. Identify challenges and escalate to senior management as necessary.
  • Contract and Budget Management: Handle contracts, budgets, and customer requests for proposals (RFP) and requests for information (RFI).
    • Coordinate activities to respond to RFPs and RFIs, defining project scopes and estimating budgets.
    • Monitor monthly project progress and unit tracking, addressing any contract, budget, or invoice issues that arise.
    • Manage the contract workflow from initiation to completion, ensuring timely contract uploads and invoicing.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's degree in a scientific discipline.

Experience:

  • 12-18 years of relevant experience in a health sciences research environment or the pharmaceutical/biotech sector, including a minimum of 6 years in a supervisory role.
  • Over 10 years of experience in managing scientific projects.

Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of proposal, contract, and budget processes.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational capabilities.
  • Strong project management skills, particularly in supporting technical clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Leadership qualities that foster collaboration and cross-functional teamwork within the organization.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a standard office environment with minimal noise.
  • Capability to stand or sit for extended periods during the workday.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as typing.
