About the Role:

The Maintenance Technician position is a critical role within our production team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks to ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment, including welders, pneumatic hand tools, electric hand tools, pumps, motors, compressors, and other equipment.
  • Repair or replace control devices, such as switches, sensors, button controllers, valves, motor starters, and other components.
  • Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments, and document repair reports.
  • Fabricate and modify new and existing equipment as needed.
  • Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programming, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Learn and retain skills and practices needed to complete duties in assigned area, and read and follow detailed operator instructions, installation drawings, blueprints, and other documentation.
  • Self-check work and inspect prior processes, and use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools as required.
  • Communicate with manufacturing and other cross-functional teams to resolve issues, and obtain and maintain a valid fork truck/stand up license.
  • Other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 4 years of experience in manufacturing and facilities maintenance.
  • 1 year of experience with HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and basic electrical repair (120v & 480v).
  • Excellent attendance, positive attitude, safety-oriented, strong attention to detail, self-motivated, team-oriented, and basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, and a valid driver's license.
  • Experience using mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metal working machinery, and a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of basic assembly processes preferred.
  • Able to accumulate tools and equipment required to perform assigned tasks, lift 50 pounds waist high, and read and comprehend documents and prints at a high level.
  • Willing to improve self/area/company, develop a working knowledge of company's systems, and work overtime on short notice.
