Bridge Maintenance Specialist

Webber, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Bridge Technician to join our team. As a Bridge Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all structures, including movable bridges, fixed bridges, culverts, overhead sign structures, high mast lighting, and bridge fender systems.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair highway structures, including concrete, structural steel, welding, expansion joints, carpentry, and painting as required.
- Create safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T.) control by setting up and removing traffic control devices, including cones, message/arrow boards, temporary signage, etc.
- Work comfortably from heights in bucket trucks, snooper trucks, scaffolding, ladders, and aerial platforms lifts.
- Repair and maintain the functionality of bridge and culvert slopes, berms, drains, etc., using shovels and other hand or power tools and equipment.
- Control vegetation appearance and growth using lawn mowing equipment, hard or power trimmers, and chemical sprayers, and other methods.
- Maintain the appearance and functionality of bridge fender systems, including navigational signs, lighting, and all elements of the structural fender systems.
- Work comfortably in and around water and from boats.
- Transport crew and equipment to work sites, operating large trucks and specialized motor vehicles and trailers.
- Be available for emergency response rotations as needed for overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Demonstrate knowledge of structures maintenance.
- Practice safe work methods to remain accident and injury-free.
- Recognize hazards inherent in routine and non-routine tasks and make adjustments to avoid loss, injury, or accident.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to the job.
- Cooperate and communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
- Perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide, calculate proportions, percentages, and measurements).
- Understand instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- One-year work experience in construction, maintenance, and repair (Preferred)
- CDL, DOT certifications, Electrical and Welding Certifications (Highly Desirable)
- Valid Driver's license with an acceptable driving record (Required)
- Regularly stand, sit, walk on a wide range of surfaces, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.
- Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Use manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and equipment.
- Have vision abilities, including both close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Work in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Occasionally work in wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Work in a moderate to high noise environment on movable bridges.
