Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Trimble surveying equipment and software effectively.

  • Interpret and execute detailed written or oral instructions, including construction plans.

  • Ensure accurate finish grades for roads and parking lots.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Analyze information from contract drawings, specifications, and surveys to resolve conflicts.
  • Verify field data for accuracy and compliance with issued plans.
  • Maintain an organized filing system.
  • Provide training to field personnel on GPS systems and equipment usage.
  • Independently service and resolve GPS equipment issues or collaborate with vendors.
  • Foster relationships with equipment vendors.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in recording topographic data, performing volume calculations, and conducting site stakeout and construction layout.
  • Proficiency in operating Trimble GPS Base and Rover systems.
  • Background in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarry operations.
  • Insurable driving record.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and/or training.
