Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing general work requests associated with the day-to-day maintenance of our facility, under the supervision of the Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance tasks, including HVAC and plumbing repairs, and troubleshooting of various equipment
  • Ensure the operation of mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following operations manuals, and troubleshooting malfunctions
  • Conduct general low-voltage electrical repair and install work, including installing outlets, rewiring, and installing light fixtures
  • Assist with drywall and spackle installation and repair
  • Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to assess and address extraordinary maintenance needs, such as replacing guttering, repairing parking lots, and maintaining perimeter fencing
  • Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and spare parts for mechanical equipment
  • Order maintenance materials, supplies, and products as needed, with Manager approval
  • Communicate with the wider business regarding facilities-related work that may impact operations
  • Attend weekly meetings and contribute to the weekly agenda
  • Perform daily walk-throughs of the facility to identify and report any issues
  • Conduct general maintenance tasks, including cleaning carpets, painting, and patchwork, clearing roof drains, and landscaping
  • Escort vendors as needed to perform various jobs or complete special projects
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Contribute to team efforts by completing various projects around the facility
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Team player with experience working in a dynamic environment
  • Experience working with BMS, fire alarm, and security systems preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience or related training
  • HVAC or Journeymen license and certification preferred
  • Certifications for Fire Guard (F01), Sprinkler Standpipe (S14), and Fire Pump (S13) preferred
  • Ability to work in an office setting, including writing correspondence and conversing with clients, coworkers, and vendors in a professional manner
  • Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation
  • Occasional nights and weekends required; flexible schedule preferred
  • On-call availability
