The ideal candidate will have great physical endurance to oversee large spaces and high attention to detail.

  • Execute and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.
  • Manage trash disposal, tidy furniture, and dust surfaces.
  • Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets.
  • Sanitize restrooms, lunchroom, common areas, and all major fixtures and countertops.
  • Stock all restrooms with soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment in proper condition.
  • Assist in maintenance of outer premises, including watering plants, mowing lawn, and cleaning entrances.
  • Complete miscellaneous heavy cleansing tasks and special projects as needed.
  • Conduct safety and security measures, including securing doors and windows and helping to prevent fire or other damages.
  • Comply with all necessary health and safety regulations.
  • Report issues to the Facilities Manager as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience as a janitor or in a similar maintenance role.
  • High school diploma is preferred.
  • Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
  • Proficient in documentation processes.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups of individuals from a variety of educational, social, and economic backgrounds.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull at minimum 35 lbs.
  • Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
  • Ability to stand on hard surfaces for an extended period of time.

Salary: $18.00/hourly
