Job Summary

SP Plus Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for directing and managing routine cleaning, maintenance, and repair activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage routine cleaning, maintenance, and repair activities, including power washing, stripping, sweeping, and commercial painting.
  • Manage day-to-day activities of assigned projects, supervising maintenance crews to ensure completion of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance and cleaning projects.
  • Assist with management duties, including scheduling, monitoring, and checking of timecards.
  • Supervise the completion of all ongoing and future projects.
  • Monitor and implement effective safety procedures.
  • Report any known accidents, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the General Manager, Maintenance Services.
  • Assist with cleanup of debris, water, oil spills, and other hazards.
  • Conduct regular facility and equipment inspections to ensure all are in good maintenance condition.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental standards and corporate governance.
  • Lead programs to improve client and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate. Some college a plus.
  • Intermediate computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Thorough knowledge of all areas of maintenance.
  • Ability to perform general repair, electrical, mechanical, and cleaning maintenance.
  • Desire a minimum of six months worth of experience in the service industry (maintenance industry preferred).
  • Special consideration given to those candidates who have a diverse maintenance background.
  • Experience with driving light construction equipment preferred.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proactive with strong problem-solving skills and proven customer service skills.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule.
  • Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record.

Physical Demands

  • May be required to stand for 8-hour shifts while managing employees.
  • Must be willing to work in different indoor and outdoor conditions.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
