About Us

Continental Maritime of San Diego is in search of a Scheduling and Planning Specialist to enhance our operational efficiency. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of naval vessel operations, maintenance, and repair processes. Key responsibilities encompass analyzing work specifications, developing resource-loaded timelines, and ensuring project status is maintained through regular updates and progress assessments.

Essential Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of naval vessel operations, maintenance, and repair
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, manuals, and diagrams
  • Strong writing and editing capabilities
  • Familiarity with quality assurance, testing protocols, combat systems, and engineering standards
  • Experience utilizing standard planning and scheduling techniques and tools
  • Proficient in PC applications including Windows, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and others
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Capability to obtain a DBIDS credential

Physical Demands

  • Potential exposure to fumes, irritants, and electrical hazards
  • Ability to observe machinery and navigate throughout the facility
  • Capability to ascend and descend stairs, ladders, and ramps
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Exposure to environmental conditions while gathering data
