The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Admissions Counselor. This position is integral to the recruitment process, serving as the initial point of contact for prospective students considering our institution. The Admissions Counselor will guide students and their families through the entire enrollment journey, which includes responding to inquiries, assessing needs, and providing information on financial aid options. This role involves being the primary representative in designated geographical regions, contributing to the overall objectives of the Admissions team by supporting events, evaluating applications, and engaging in outreach initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
Act as a representative of the institution to a diverse audience at high schools, community colleges, and college fairs. Develop and manage a travel and recruitment strategy within a specific territory, fostering relationships with local high schools and implementing effective recruitment plans. Organize and execute on-campus and off-campus events in collaboration with various departments and external partners. Maintain ongoing communication with prospective students throughout the recruitment cycle. Track and analyze recruitment, application, and enrollment metrics within the assigned territory. Review student applications and credentials to make informed admission decisions. Coordinate and lead presentations for group visits to the campus. Conduct informative sessions and tours for prospective students and their families during both weekday and weekend events. Support additional admissions and recruitment activities as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications:
A Master's Degree is preferred; however, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience will be considered. A valid driver's license is required. Experience working with youth and diverse populations, particularly in sales, admissions, recruitment, or higher education settings. Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage various audiences in both small and large group settings. Detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure. Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service that exceeds expectations. A collaborative, energetic, and resourceful approach to work. Proficiency in quickly learning and utilizing various software and technologies. Demonstrated sensitivity and understanding when working with diverse student populations. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed. Preference will be given to candidates with a track record of innovative strategies that enhance student enrollment outcomes. Additional Information:
