Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center Inc. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care and support to individuals admitted to our Crisis Stabilization Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and provide nursing care to clients.
  • Communicate with the on-call prescriber to arrange for prescribing of medication and consult about medical issues.
  • Administer medications prescribed by the CSC prescriber.
  • Complete COWS/CIWA and vital sign checks with clients in the CSC.
  • Partner with other behavioral health staff to provide a range of services to admitted clients.

Requirements:

  • Active, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse at the bachelor's degree or an associate degree level.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with individuals with mental health issues and/or substance use disorders.
  • Preferred experience in a community setting.
