Job Summary:

The Johns Hopkins HealthCare Community Health Specialists are clinical staff who will provide support for program activities including but not limited to providing childbirth and parenting education, health fairs, community events, and targeted outreach. These staff will provide screening services including taking biometric measurements, implementing screening questionnaires, counseling at-risk individuals, and referring eligible participants to evidence-based programs.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide screening services including taking biometric measurements, implementing screening questionnaires, counseling at-risk individuals, and referring eligible participants to evidence-based programs.

Requirements:

* A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university with an interest in behavioral, community, or public health.
* Experience in childbirth and/or lactation education is preferred.
* Experience working in labor and delivery or maternal child units is preferred.
* Experience working in a community setting is preferred but not required.
* Bilingual in Spanish, Korean, or Chinese is preferred but not required.

Benefits:

* Salary range: $34.00 - $51.16 per hour.
* Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

Work Environment:

This position may spend the majority of the time working in the community, away from the office. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
