Key Duties:

Welding and Assembly Responsibilities:

  • Choose suitable welding equipment and strategize layout, assembly, and welding operations.
  • Execute MIG/TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel parts, ensuring superior weld quality.
  • Arrange, position, align, and fit components accurately.
  • Secure parts in place using bolts, clamps, and tack-welding techniques.
  • Assemble components utilizing bolts, rivets, and various fastening methods.
  • Employ acetylene/plasma arc tools to cut metal parts in accordance with specifications.

Quality Control Measures:

  • Interpret blueprints to fulfill welding specifications.
  • Guarantee product quality by following work order process sheets and company standards.
  • Conduct repairs by disassembling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling components as necessary.
  • Verify the accuracy of engineering, sales, and manufacturing inputs to ensure the final product aligns with customer requirements.

Tools and Safety Protocols:

  • Utilize basic hand and power tools (e.g., angle grinders, wrenches, impacts).
  • Maintain and promote a clean and organized workspace.
  • Adhere to the company's quality and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in MIG and TIG welding within a fabrication setting.
  • Expertise in aluminum and stainless steel TIG welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Welding certification or technical degree is preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills for calculations related to area, circumference, and volume.
  • Capability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds regularly and work in various physical positions, including kneeling, crouching, and climbing.

Work Environment:

  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
