Responsibilities- Assist in surgical procedures, including preparing patients for surgery, administering anesthesia, and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient evaluations, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and ordering therapies.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care, including coordinating with other healthcare providers and communicating with patients and families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Registered as a Physician Assistant in New York State.
- NCCPA certified.
- Experience in surgical services, preferably in an orthopedic surgery setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
