Job Summary

Savi EHS is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team as a Construction EHS Specialist. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations on a large commercial construction site in Miami, FL.

Key Responsibilities
  • Environmental, Health, and Safety Compliance: Assist with ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations on the construction site.
  • Daily EHS Inspections: Conduct documented daily EHS inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Site-Specific EHS Orientation: Deliver site-specific EHS orientation to workers to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Construction Work Plans (CWPs): Review CWPs and assist with plan development when needed to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Worker Training: Ensure workers are trained on their required tasks and provide expert technical consultation and guidance to the operations team.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate incidents to determine root cause and develop corrective and preventative actions.
  • Leading and Lagging Indicators: Collect and analyze leading and lagging indicators to determine trends and put actions into place to address concerns.
  • ISO 14001/45001 Systems Management: Assist with the management of the ISO 14001/45001 systems.
  • Trade Contractor EHS Professionals: Partner with trade contractor EHS professionals and participate in the project EHS leadership team.
  • Client Risk Management: Act as liaison with the client's risk management team.
  • Positive Reinforcement Program: Assist in managing a positive reinforcement program to promote a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in EHS specializing in construction.
  • OSHA Certification: OSHA 30 hour certification.
  • Computer Knowledge: Computer knowledge and efficiency, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office products.
