Patient Care Associate

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the nursing team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team.
- Assist with phlebotomy, fingersticks for glucose, and electrocardiograms as assigned.
- Participate in the orientation process of new patient care technicians.
- Assist with data collection and activities as assigned.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families.
- Respond to patient call lights and complete patient requests for assistance with personal care and activity.
- Report all observations concerning patients to the professional nurse responsible for the patient on a given shift.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
