About Rex Academy: Founded in 2015, Rex Academy is an EdTech company centered around providing educational opportunities in computer science, AI, and cybersecurity for all K-12 students.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable After School Teacher to lead our computer science-based program. This part-time opportunity is ideal for those passionate about working with students in an engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach computer science courses (coding, keyboarding, web development) to students in an after-school setting.
- Execute provided curriculum and lesson plans effectively.
- Create a positive and productive learning environment.
- Foster students' interest and growth in technology.
- Communicate with administrators, students, and parents as needed, following all reasonable professional expectations.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Reliable methods of transportation are essential.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- No formal teaching certification required.
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational environment is preferred, but not necessary.
