We are seeking an experienced Youth Development Coordinator to join our team at Children, Youth, and Families. In this role, you will work closely with our staff to provide high-quality programs and services that meet the unique needs of our clients.

As a Youth Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing program activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development in youth.
  • Providing direct support to youth, including homework assistance, mentorship, and guidance.
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy environment that promotes positive youth development and well-being.
  • Collaborating with staff and community partners to ensure that our programs are meeting the needs of our clients and the community.
  • Tracking progress and outcomes and making data-driven decisions to improve program effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

  • Join the fun: Be actively engaged with students by playing games and participating in activities.
  • Be a helper: Provide help with homework and educational activities.
  • Be a good example: Show kids how to be kind, respectful and helpful.
  • Watch over kids: Prioritize student safety and report safety concerns to Site Coordinator.
  • Keep things tidy: Clean and organize spaces to make sure they are safe and fun.
  • Serve snacks: Assist with preparing and serving snacks.
  • Keep track of who's here: Help track attendance and participation as requested.
  • Embrace diversity: Appreciate and learn from people with different backgrounds Recognize and value diversity within the work environment.
  • Respect privacy: Maintain high level of confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Stay informed: Complete all trainings required by licensing and organization within identified timeframe.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a field related to youth development or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with youth in a program setting. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, manually manipulate, reach outward and above shoulders, speak and bend on a daily basis.

Salary: $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience.
