Location: On-site position at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center

Position Summary: The Application Analyst & Data Integrity Specialist plays a crucial role within the Medical Records Department. This position is tasked with the configuration, implementation, support, administration, and maintenance of applications utilized by Health Information Management (HIM). The Specialist ensures the accuracy of EMPI data through regular audits and manages the merging of duplicates as necessary. This role also oversees chart correction processes and conducts regular audits to maintain the integrity and quality of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate electronic health record (EHR) implementation processes, including vendor communication, workflow analysis, user training, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide necessary information to various medical center departments and external entities through digital means, phone, fax, mail, or in person.
  • Scan and retrieve data within electronic documentation systems.
  • Monitor and manage office supply inventories, placing orders as required.
  • Utilize computers, scanners, printers, copiers, phone systems, and fax machines proficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Information Systems Department and system vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Engage in department quality projects and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Effectively manage time and organize workload to optimize resources.
  • Communicate with providers and other departments to ensure documentation integrity and completion.
  • Lead daily department activities as directed by the Manager or in their absence.
  • Review access requests from prospective users and assist in determining appropriate access levels.
  • Serve as a resource for medical staff regarding systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in electronic medical records systems (e.g., Meditech Client / Server, eClinicalWorks, Greenway, DocuWare) and related software and hardware.
  • Extensive knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with teammates, providers, contractors, and other departments.
  • Capability to mentor and train new users and co-workers.
  • Strong leadership skills in daily operations, with the ability to multitask and maintain urgency.
  • Proactive learner, well-organized, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

Schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday.

Education: Associate degree, vocational certificate, or equivalent experience in a healthcare-related field.

Experience: Minimum of two years in a healthcare office setting; leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
