Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is seeking an Application Analyst and Data Integrity Specialist to enhance our Medical Records Department.

The Specialist will oversee the configuration, implementation, and ongoing support of applications utilized by Health Information Management (HIM). This role is crucial for maintaining accurate EMPI data through regular audits and merging duplicates as necessary. The Specialist will manage chart correction processes and conduct audits to ensure the integrity and quality of EMR data. Collaboration with HIM team members and other departments is essential for providing necessary information for patient care, coding, billing, research, and documentation quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate electronic health record (EHR) implementation processes, including vendor communication, workflow analysis, user training, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide requested information to various departments and external entities through digital means, phone, fax, mail, or in person.
  • Scan and retrieve data within electronic documentation systems.
  • Monitor office supply levels and submit orders as needed.
  • Effectively operate computers, scanners, printers, copiers, and phone systems.
  • Collaborate with the Information Systems Department and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Participate in quality projects and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Manage time efficiently and organize workload to optimize resources.
  • Communicate with providers and departments to ensure documentation integrity.
  • Lead co-workers in daily departmental activities as directed.
  • Review access requests from prospective users and assist in determining appropriate access levels.
  • Serve as a resource for medical staff regarding systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient in electronic medical records systems (e.g., Meditech Client / Server, eClinicalWorks, Greenway, DocuWare).
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with team members, providers, and vendors.
  • Capability to mentor and train new users and co-workers.
  • Leadership skills to guide daily operations and multitask effectively.
  • Proactive learner, organized, and committed to excellent customer service.

Schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday.

Education: Associate degree, vocational certificate, or equivalent experience in a healthcare-related field.

Experience: Minimum of two years in a healthcare office setting; leadership experience preferred.
