Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented HMIS Database Manager to join our team at the Community Shelter Board. As a key member of our Data + Evaluation unit, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our Homelessness Response System and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine data quality checks and quality assurance report generation with interpretation of data.
  • Provide individual technical assistance for HMIS site administrators, addressing and documenting issues within 24 hours of submission during business days.
  • Prepare HMIS Database Training for group, classroom, and virtual settings.
  • Participate in the annual review and certification of HMIS data.
  • Update and prepare reports as needed to include required data elements.
  • Develop and maintain HMIS Policies and Procedures Manual, Data Dictionary, HMIS Training Guide, and HMIS Training videos, as needed.
  • Maintain complete and adequate files, records, and documents.
  • Complete data entry for select seasonal/temporary homeless program.
Requirements
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of relational database management.
  • Advanced customer service and training skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with a solution-focused approach.
  • HMIS System Administrator experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the homelessness service delivery system is preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet. Experience with Business Objects and SQL preferred.
