Job Summary

Huntington Beach Hospital is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our Employee Health team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating employee annual physicals, PPD, and Fit Testing, while maintaining accurate tracking systems. You will also ensure timely processing of Workers' Compensation claims and evaluate accident reports to determine accuracy and completeness. If an RN, you will provide emergency evaluation and treatment for work-related injuries. If not an RN, you will refer employees to the appropriate department for emergency evaluation and treatment. Your role will also involve collaborating with management to develop objectives for employee health services that align with the hospital's goals and objectives.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate employee annual physicals, PPD, and Fit Testing
  2. Maintain accurate tracking systems
  3. Ensure timely processing of Workers' Compensation claims
  4. Evaluate accident reports to determine accuracy and completeness
  5. Provide emergency evaluation and treatment for work-related injuries (if RN)
  6. Refer employees to the appropriate department for emergency evaluation and treatment (if not RN)
  7. Collaborate with management to develop objectives for employee health services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Knowledge of theory, techniques, and practices of employee health
  2. Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)
  3. Experience in Workers' Compensation, insurance, and the medical field (preferred)
  4. Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse (preferred)
  5. BLS upon hire required

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $28.00 to $37.68, with the exact starting compensation to be determined at the time of hiring based on a range of factors, including skillset, years of experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
