Licensed Vocational Nurse

About the Role:As a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Children's Clinic, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective patient care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting Clinic Providers with treatments, procedures, and clerical duties, as defined in the Licensed Vocational Nurse Scope of Practice. You will also be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality patient care and the efficiency of patient flow.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the flow of patients in the clinic, ensuring timely and efficient care.
- Assist Clinic Providers with treatments, procedures, and clerical duties.
- Document patient history and medical information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Refill medication requests and obtain prior authorization as needed.
- Provide patient education and support to promote healthy outcomes.
- Administer vaccines and medications as prescribed by Clinic Providers.
- Oversee the weekly schedule of Medical Assistants and ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Manage mail and fax correspondence to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Current License to practice as an LVN in the State of California.
- Completion of vocational school and LVN training program.
- Minimum of one year of experience in an outpatient setting.
- Phlebotomy Certificate and CPR/BLS certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Competitive hourly rate of $29.00.
