Machine Assembly Technician

  • PRIMARY ROLE
This role is accountable for the assembly, comprehensive machine documentation, and various assembly tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assemble standard machinery as indicated by daily shipping reports; adhere to checklists and manufacturing order specifications.
  • Utilize machine checklists as guidelines for assembly processes prior to testing.
  • Document and complete machine information, including (Serial number, Date, Model, Initials) in the machine completion log.
  • Ensure manufacturing orders align with the actual approved machine and its components, including materials and labor time.
  • Notify the final Assembly Lead of any defective assemblies or components and replace as necessary.
  • Support other machine assembly tasks as needed.
  • Construct custom machines as required or assigned.
  • Prepare stock trailers (tires, axles, etc.) if necessary.
  • Carry out production unit cleanup tasks as directed, following work instructions and safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness in the machine assembly area daily or as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in machine assembly is preferred but not mandatory. Must possess mechanical aptitude.

SKILLS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
  • Capability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English effectively.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Competence in calculating rates, ratios, and percentages, and in interpreting bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
  • Capacity to address problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized scenarios.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving abilities, reliability, and adherence to safety and security protocols.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment without air conditioning.
  • Must be able to operate mechanical/pneumatic tools and utilize them effectively.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must exhibit dependability, reliability, and maintain good attendance.
  • Must be available for occasional overtime, including weekends as required.
EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in machine assembly is preferred but not essential.

LANGUAGE

Ability to read and communicate effectively in the local language.
