Job Title: Psychiatrist

Welcome to Lincoln Behavioral Services, a leading provider of mental health care. We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team.

Job Summary

The Psychiatrist will be responsible for conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations, monitoring medication effects, and collaborating with a diverse team of professionals. This role requires a strong commitment to upholding ethical standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct psychiatric services to assigned consumers, including evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Complete initial and annual psychiatric assessments for each assigned consumer per agency policies.
  • Monitor consumer progress, mental status, and medication effectiveness based on clinical need.
  • Educate consumers on mental and physical health connections, proper medication usage, side effects, and substance interactions.
  • Participate in team meetings to ensure coordinated care and consult with the medical director as needed.
  • Ensure services align with individual service plans and maintain accurate case records.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines, receive annual training, and engage in administrative duties.
  • Prepare reports, participate in training sessions, and fulfill other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Required: M.D. or D.O. from an accredited university.
  • Preferred: Experience in treating individuals with severe mental illnesses.
Certification/License

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry. Must hold valid medical and controlled substance licenses in Michigan.

Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to collaborate within a mental health team and represent the organization effectively in the community.
  • Proficiency in prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications.
  • Familiarity with computer applications or a willingness to learn.
Qualifications
