Commercial Construction Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic construction team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our commercial construction projects, from planning to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from conceptual and budgeting to project closeout.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring that all tasks are performed in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
  • Develop comprehensive project schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Utilize project management software to track project performance and manage resources effectively.
  • Conduct risk management to minimize project risks and develop contingency plans as necessary.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with local and national building codes and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and ensure project success.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status, budget, and schedule.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any issues that may impact project scope, schedule, or budget.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
  • Proven experience in managing design-build, ground-up, and fit-out projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Excellent knowledge of building and safety codes, and ability to ensure compliance.
  • Expertise in project scheduling and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
