Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Ensure quality service to all guests, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Food and Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve food and drink orders to guests, adhering to all health and safety standards.
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized cafe area, including tables, counters, and equipment.
  • Point of Sale and Cash Handling: Operate a Point of Sale system, handle cash and credit transactions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure seamless service, communicate effectively with guests and colleagues, and maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred.
  • Certifications and Training: San Diego County Food Handlers card and TIPS certification are required prior to the start of employment.
  • Physical Demands: The physical demands of this role include standing for long periods, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
