Sovereign Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and systems for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and detailing of mechanical components using Catia V5
- Design and development of various components, including class B surfacing, brackets, and structural components
- Engineer and develop product designs that meet customer needs and requirements
- Create and manage engineering drawings
- Participate in design review meetings and customer review meetings
- Track progress of component development, verification, and production
- Coordinate with offshore and offsite teams
Requirements:
- 8 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in Catia V5 and experience with advanced surfacing and modeling
- Experience with plastics and sheet metal product design
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in mechanical engineering
- 4+ years of experience in design engineering or product development
- Design for plastic injection molding experience
- Automotive experience
