About the Role:

Raytheon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Firmware Design Engineer to join our team in the ROIC and Digital Products Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and manufacturing complex state-of-the-art systems for airborne, naval, and land-based military applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop firmware for digital systems, including VHDL/Verilog coding and FPGA programming
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software at the level of electronic components and circuit boards
  • Develop and maintain detailed digital designs, including circuit analysis and simulation
  • Work with customers to understand their requirements and specifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in digital signal processing, FPGA design, and firmware integration
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink, HDL Coder, and DSP Builder blocksets
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, or Microsemi FPGAs
  • Experience with High Level Modeling tools and languages such as SystemVerilog or HDL Coder
