Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our medical surgical team at Emerald Health Services. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate professional to work with patients who require complex care.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting thorough assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive physical assessments, identify potential health risks, and develop evidence-based care plans to address patient needs
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform procedures as needed to manage patient conditions
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and social workers, to ensure seamless patient care transitions and continuity of care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to educate them on treatment options, promote self-care, and facilitate informed decision-making
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, data analysis, and research activities to advance nursing practice and patient care

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctoral degree in Nursing (DNP) from an accredited institution
  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
  • At least 1.5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an acute care setting
  • Strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhere to HIPAA guidelines, and comply with regulatory requirements
