As a Commercial Banking Specialist at First Citizens Bank, you will uphold our legacy of fostering and enhancing connections with business proprietors in your locality to aid them in achieving their financial aspirations.

Commercial Banking Specialists cultivate and sustain an active prospect list, customer outreach strategy, and quality referral networks.

They serve as the primary liaison for borrowing requirements, typically up to $2MM, and collaborate with bank partners to offer a comprehensive suite of deposit and related business services.

Larger accounts may be overseen with managerial consent and suitable partner assistance.

Responsibilities
In this capacity, you will have the opportunity to:

Make a significant contribution to the bank's growth through commercial loans, deposits, and fee income.

Utilize your creativity and entrepreneurial mindset to connect with business proprietors in the community.
Operate in a nurturing environment that promotes community and business development initiatives.
Engage within a streamlined, prompt, and effective credit approval process.
Be part of a collaborative team with various business services partners to enhance the full client relationship.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in business lending, credit, or business development.

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 8 years of experience in business lending, credit, or business development.

Additional Requirements:
Experience in business development.

Preferred Qualifications:
Established Centers of Influence (COIs) and referral sources.
Financial analysis and credit underwriting expertise.
Understanding of business lending, deposit, and cash management solutions.
Capability to provide financial guidance and expertise.
Experience in sales planning and forecasting.
