About the Role

The Personal Banker is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by building new and expanding existing relationships with clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing excellent customer service by identifying and offering products and services that meet customer needs.
  • Developing relationships with customers by consulting with them and delivering personalized solutions.
  • Delivering and packaging detailed clerical support for deposit and consumer loan accounts, business accounts, collections, and wires.
  • Backing up Client Service Specialists and staying current on products and procedures.
  • Resolving customer issues and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Demonstrating proficiency with basic business, consumer, and trust entities.
  • Learning consumer lending and mentoring other team members on products, services, and business partners.
  • Supporting the branch goal of identifying and referring a range of bank products and services to the appropriate business partners.
About You

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team. Key qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of products and services offered by Umpqua Bank.
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Cash handling, balancing, and calculating skills.
  • Ability to complete multiple and varying customer requests in a timely fashion.
  • Support for the branch goal of identifying and referring a range of bank products and services to the appropriate business partners.
  • Familiarity with state laws regarding products and services.
  • Ability to become NMLS certified.
  • Prior Client Service Specialist or banking experience.
  • Bilingual, preferred.
Workstyle and Benefits

This is a fully onsite role with a competitive total rewards package, including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $20.00 to $25.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors. We offer eligible associates comprehensive healthcare coverage, a 401(k)-retirement savings plan with employer match, and other benefits.
