Position Overview: As an Electrical Systems Commissioning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the deployment of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) across various sectors.

Location: Opportunities available in multiple regions.

Role Type: This is a Non-Exempt position, qualifying for overtime.

Work Schedule: Flexibility is required, with potential evening and weekend commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of EPMS at diverse customer sites, including but not limited to Data Centers, Healthcare Facilities, Manufacturing Plants, Military Installations, Commercial Properties, and Educational Institutions.
  • Engage collaboratively with contractors and end-users, maintaining active communication within construction settings.
  • Oversee the installation, customization, and integration of EPMS software, along with the start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical monitoring equipment.
  • Provide comprehensive training to customers, address device communication issues, and manage hardware component replacements.
  • Consult with clients to establish system operation requirements and document the as-built systems.
  • Prepare for extensive travel to customer locations, with the possibility of up to 75% overnight travel.

Qualifications:

  • A two-year technical degree in electrical power systems or electronics is preferred.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in Electrical Power Monitoring Systems, Building Automation Systems, Systems Integration, or Energy Management Systems.
  • Ability to interpret contract specifications and electrical schematics.
  • Strong communication skills, proficiency in computer applications, and capability to work effectively in team environments.
  • A stable work history and readiness for extensive travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electrical equipment and a solid understanding of electricity, power generation, distribution, and power quality concepts.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard communication protocols, computer networking architectures, and HMI configuration.
  • Direct experience with proprietary software relevant to the industry and applicable certifications.
