Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Oversee the financial planning and analysis division, providing strategic direction to senior leadership and departmental heads.
  • Budget Oversight and Forecasting: Manage the development of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial strategies, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis, to senior leadership, the board, and other stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Examine financial data and market trends to deliver actionable insights and recommendations, supporting decision-making with thorough financial models and analyses.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work alongside cross-functional teams to understand business needs, set financial goals, and enhance performance, fostering a culture of financial accountability.
  • Investment Assessment: Conduct financial analysis and due diligence for potential mergers, acquisitions, and investment opportunities.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial planning and analysis function.
  • Team Development: Build and lead a high-performing financial planning and analysis team, offering mentorship and growth opportunities.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of ten years in financial planning and analysis, with at least five years in a leadership role. Experience in technology or SaaS sectors is preferred.
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline from an accredited institution is required. An MBA or CFA designation is highly desirable.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into strategic insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of conveying complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop teams, manage multiple priorities, and achieve results in a dynamic environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting tools. Advanced Excel skills are essential; familiarity with financial software (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan) is a plus.
  • Customer-Focused Mindset: Capable of anticipating and meeting the needs of internal and external stakeholders, dedicated to delivering exceptional service and continuous improvement.
