Staff Physician Position

As a Staff Physician at Comprehensive Community Health Centers, you will provide primary and preventive care to patients, diagnosing and treating diseases, injuries, and other disorders. Your expertise will be essential in stabilizing and referring patients in need of urgent care, while also examining and treating patients assigned to other providers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide medical services to patients, inclusive of all functions necessary to provide quality medical care.
- Stabilize and refer patients presenting to the office in need of urgent care.
- Examine and treat patients assigned to other providers, or assist in triaging and rescheduling when necessary.
- Complete patient charts according to accepted medical standards and specific requirements.
- Assist in obtaining lab specimens from patients when necessary.
- Complete administrative projects assigned by the Medical Director.
- Maintain medical licensure, board certification, and admitting privileges at the hospital.
- Participate in the on-call schedule as set forth by the Medical Director.
- Supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in your area of specialty.
- Serve as a preceptor for medical students, nurse practitioners, physician assistant students, and residents.
- Familiarize yourself with and adhere to medical office policy and procedure manuals.
- Supervise mid-level providers regarding clinical issues and State regulatory requirements.
- Participate in Quality Assurance activities and assist with audits as necessary.
- Advise administration of any issues impacting the practice.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited medical school with a degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
- Completion of an accredited residency.
- Board certification or board eligible in your specialty.
- Unrestricted license to practice within California.
- Valid DEA.
- PALS or NRP, ACLS may be required.
