STAFF PHYSICIAN ROLE SUMMARY
As a Staff Physician at Comprehensive Community Health Centers Inc., you will provide high-quality primary and preventive care to patients, diagnosing and treating diseases, injuries, and other disorders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver exceptional medical services to patients, ensuring quality care and meeting the needs of our diverse community.
- Stabilize and refer patients in need of urgent care, demonstrating expertise and compassion in high-pressure situations.
- Examine and treat patients assigned to other providers, or assist in triaging and rescheduling when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient charts, adhering to medical practice standards and organizational requirements.
- Assist in obtaining lab specimens from patients, ensuring smooth operations and patient satisfaction.
- Complete administrative projects assigned by the Medical Director, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Maintain medical licensure, board certification, and admitting privileges at local hospitals, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
- Participate in the on-call schedule, providing 24/7 coverage and support to the medical team.
- Supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, promoting growth and development in the area of specialty.
- Precept medical students, nurse practitioners, physician assistant students, and residents, fostering the next generation of healthcare leaders.
- Adhere to medical office policy and procedure manuals, ensuring compliance and excellence in patient care.
- Provide supervisory support to mid-level providers, addressing clinical issues and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to Quality Assurance activities, participating in audits and program requirements to ensure exceptional patient care.
- Regularly advise administration on issues impacting the practice, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the Medical Director, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and teamwork.
STAFF PHYSICIAN REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate from an accredited medical school with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Completion of an accredited residency program.
- Board certification or board eligibility in the specialty.
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in California.
- Valid DEA registration.
- PALS or NRP certification, with ACLS potentially required.
STAFF PHYSICIAN COMPENSATION
$300k-330k annually
