Job Summary

Bryan Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patient medical problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Nuclear Medicine Procedures: Conduct all types of Nuclear Medicine procedures under the supervision of a qualified physician, utilizing radiopharmaceuticals, imaging procedures, and techniques.
  • Prepare Radiopharmaceuticals: Prepare radiopharmaceuticals for administration by injection, ingestion, and inhalation, and apply EKG patches and cables as required.
  • Operate Nuclear Medicine Equipment: Competently operate all nuclear medicine equipment and support systems, including HIS, RIS, scheduling systems, and PACS, and perform and evaluate images for technical quality.
  • Assess and Plan Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care and procedures in accordance with established nuclear medicine standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records of isotopes used and complete quality control on scanning equipment.
  • Communicate Effectively: Utilize AIDET communication and provide patient education to inform patients about procedures, minimizing patient anxiety.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Graduate from a nuclear medicine program or equivalency required. Current certification or certification within three (3) months of hire by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine required.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
