Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Methodist Hospital. As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and education to patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a variety of conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia.
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and peak flow measurements.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) or State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
  • Associate's degree or higher in respiratory therapy or a related field.
