Job Title: Automation Engineering Team Lead
We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to join our team at Serigor Inc in Durham, NC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will lead the automation effort for infrastructure provisioning, build, and deploy activities for our applications.
This role requires a solid understanding of AWS infrastructure and software release life cycle. You will be responsible for automating tasks associated with the build and deploy processes by preparing and executing build scripts using Ansible, CloudFormation, etc. Additionally, you will provide hands-on automation support to the release and application development teams for the entire release management lifecycle across multiple applications.
You will work closely with IT management to improve software engineering processes and practices associated with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) of application changes. This role also involves interacting with architects, developers, deployment teams, and database administrators to ensure automation of various tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automate OS and software patches and upgrades across multiple environments using automation tools like Ansible
- Hands-on experience with BitBucket or GIT source code management tool
- Automate build/deploy process including changes to database using tools like Ansible
- Experience with build and release activities for large numbers of teams
- Developing and managing CI/CD (DevOps) pipeline using tools like Teamcity, Jenkins, Ansible
Requirements:
- 7 years of experience with automating OS and software patches and upgrades across multiple environments
- 3 years of hands-on experience with BitBucket or GIT source code management tool
- 7 years of experience with automating build/deploy process including changes to database
- 2 years of experience with build and release activities for large numbers of teams
- Highly desired: 2 years of experience developing and managing CI/CD (DevOps) pipeline using tools like Teamcity, Jenkins, Ansible
