NorthCare is seeking a dedicated Peer Recovery Support Specialist to join our compassionate team in a dynamic environment.

This role combines lived experience with specialized training to make a real difference in the lives of our clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive, integrated services that are culturally competent and trauma-informed.
  • Advocate for clients within our community and NorthCare, ensuring they receive the support needed for recovery and independent living.
  • Conduct health promotion activities, including vital checks, health education, and lifestyle interventions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support behavior change and treatment goals.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and meet productivity expectations outlined by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional higher education preferred.
  • Certification as an ODMHSAS Peer Recovery Support Specialist and Wellness Coach (or obtainable within 60 days of hire).
  • Experience in community mental health or related fields preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and general computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Valid Oklahoma driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance required.
  • Commitment to maintaining CPR, First Aid, and other required certifications.
  • Adherence to dress code and professional conduct standards.
  • Flexibility to work in various community settings and adhere to agency policies
