Residential Advisor

Bizzell Group is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Residential Advisor to join our team at Guthrie Job Corps Center. As a Residential Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, while also providing support and guidance to help them achieve their academic and career goals.

• Supervise and Support Students: Provide guidance and support to students in a dormitory setting, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
• Coordinate Dormitory Programs: Develop and implement programs to promote student engagement and motivation, while also fostering a sense of community and teamwork.
• Communicate Effectively: Maintain open and effective communication with students, counselors, instructors, and other staff members to ensure seamless collaboration and support.
• Attend Training and Meetings: Participate in staff in-service training sessions and other training or meetings as directed to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies.
• Establish a Positive Relationship: Build a close working relationship with students, dealing justly and impartially, and working to motivate them toward their goals.

• Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with students, staff, and other stakeholders.
• Professionalism and Integrity: Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity, with a strong commitment to upholding the values and mission of Bizzell Group.
• Computer Literacy: Possess basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other software relevant to the role.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for an associate's degree in a human services field.
• Experience Working with Youth: Have a minimum of one year of experience working with youth or in a related field, with a strong understanding of residential living and dormitory procedures.

• Lifting and Mobility: Be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, with the ability to perform physical tasks as required by the role.
