Youth Recreation Specialist

Camp Brainy Bunch is seeking experienced professionals to join our team as Summer Camp Counselors. In this role, you will support instructors in delivering high-quality educational programs, supervise campers during non-instructional times, and lead activities that promote learning and fun. As a member of our team, you will contribute to creating a positive and inclusive camp environment that encourages personal growth and development.
Responsibilities
As a Summer Camp Counselor, your duties will include attending mandatory staff trainings, helping prepare camp materials and setup, communicating with site leaders regarding camper needs and schedules, supporting instructor staff in the classroom, supervising campers during lunch and extended care, leading activities with campers, supporting site leaders in camp operations, and maintaining a constant focus on safety and well-being. You will also be responsible for organizing camp materials each day and closing down at the end of each week.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have previous experience in youth recreation or education, excellent communication skills, flexibility, and a passion for working with children. Current CPR/First Aid certification is also desirable. We offer a competitive hourly rate of $18-$19 per hour, with opportunities for overtime pay.
