Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering and news teams to facilitate the production elements involved in live newscasts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Chief Engineer and Director of Engineering.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience working as a newscast director or technical director at a commercial television station.
  • Experience operating several types of production broadcast equipment.
  • Knowledge of Grass Valley Ignite Automation or experience with production control automation systems.
  • Demonstrate timely decision-making in a live news production environment.
  • Understanding of newsroom systems, ENPS and video playback systems.

Qualifications:

  • Solid background in the operations of broadcast television systems and equipment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, including holidays and weekends.
  • In-person attendance is required.

Education:

  • College Degree preferred but not required.
