Position Summary
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for assembling and overseeing our events team, dedicated to the meticulous planning and execution of trade shows and conferences throughout North America. Your expertise will be essential in crafting a distinctive and appealing aesthetic for our exhibition spaces, ensuring that our messaging stands out and effectively engages attendees.
Your mission will be to enhance our trade show strategy, working closely with demand generation and sales teams to develop robust pre-event marketing plans and comprehensive follow-up initiatives post-event. This position requires frequent travel, alongside a strong presence at our headquarters to collaborate with various departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and lead a skilled national team capable of executing numerous trade show events each quarter.
- Develop and implement a strategic trade show plan that aligns with our marketing objectives, identifying key industry events for participation.
- Work in partnership with sales, product marketing, and creative teams to establish event goals, messaging, and deliverables.
- Coordinate pre-event, on-site, and post-event communications and engagement strategies with the marketing operations team.
- Oversee all logistical aspects of events, including booth design, material preparation, vendor management, and staff training.
- Facilitate effective follow-up with sales teams to assess event outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- 7-12 years of experience in marketing, specifically in managing and executing large-scale trade shows.
- A minimum of 2 years in a leadership role, demonstrating the ability to hire and mentor high-performing teams.
- Proven skills in event and project management, with the capability to juggle multiple events simultaneously.
- Experience in budget management and performance reporting, utilizing data to evaluate marketing effectiveness.
- Familiarity with marketing and sales tools to create landing pages and automate communication campaigns.
- Strong negotiation skills for managing vendor relationships and securing favorable terms.
- Demonstrated success in creating memorable event experiences that drive return on investment.
- Willingness to travel frequently for strategic events and site evaluations.
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
- A proactive, organized individual with a detail-oriented mindset.
