Job Description

As a Commercial Billing Specialist at SCI Floor Covering, Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of customer invoices.

You will work closely with project teams to research and resolve billing issues, maintain accurate financial records, and coordinate requests for insurance certificates and other required project documents.

SCI Floor Covering, Inc. provides floor covering solutions to a variety of markets, including corporate, tenant-office, hospitality, education, healthcare, multi-family, homebuilder, and insurance restoration.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare customer invoices in accordance with client contracts and AIA/percent complete billing where required.
  • Work with project teams to research and resolve billing issues.
  • Maintain customer and project files internally and in 3rd party billing systems.
  • Coordinate requests for insurance certificates, supplier waivers, and other required project documents.
  • Prepare certified payroll and MSHDA documents where required.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 2-4 years' experience with customer billing or in an accounting function; construction and/or progress billing experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Understanding of basic bookkeeping principles & practices.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet both internal and customer deadlines.

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
